Grapefruit Avocado Salad with Honey Lime Dressing
If you’re looking for a delicious and nutritious salad recipe, you can’t go wrong with an avocado grapefruit salad. This healthy salad recipe combines the refreshing taste of tart grapefruit and lime with some creamy avocado goodness, finishing it all off with some tasty, crunchy almonds. You’re sure to love this grapefruit avocado salad! After all, grapefruit and avocado go together like chocolate and peanut butter!
Your Ingredients
- 1 fresh Rio red grapefruit
- 4 cups of mixed greens
- 1 avocado
- ¼ cup of sliced almonds
- 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper
Making Your Grapefruit Salad
- Start by toasting your almonds for a few minutes in a small skillet, taking care not to burn the almonds.
- Peel and segment your grapefruit.
- Peel, pit, and chop your avocado into slices.
- Toss together your greens, avocado, almonds, and grapefruit.
- In a small bowl, whisk together your honey, lime juice, mustard, and olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Drizzle your dressing over your salad and enjoy.
Grapefruit Salad with Mint and Feta Cheese
Why not try something a little different? This salad drops the traditional salad greens but makes up for them with refreshing citrus fruits and fresh vegetables and olives. You can substitute the feta for goat cheese for an earthier taste or step it up with some lemon juice. No matter how you make it, this salad is sure to put a smile on your face!
The Salad Ingredients
- 2 Rio red grapefruits
- 1 medium cucumber
- 1 small red onion
- 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
- ¾ cup kalamata olives
- 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of mint leaves, chopped fine
- Salt
Making Your Grapefruit Salad Recipe
- Cut your cucumber lengthwise and cut into thin slices.
- Thinly slice your red onion.
- If your kalamata olives are large, cut them into halves.

- Cut your supreme grapefruit segments into halves.
- In a large salad bowl, toss together your cucumber, mint, olives, grapefruit, and onion.
- Drizzle over the balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste.
