The school year is here, and for parents in need of a little relaxation after a day of activities, there’s nothing better than a grapefruit juice cocktail. Of course, you don’t have to have kids to appreciate how delicious these fresh grapefruit juice cocktails are!

Grapefruit Margarita
If you’re looking for a fun drink with a tangy twist, you can’t go wrong with grapefruit margaritas! This refreshing cocktail combines the power of two types of fresh citrus juice, grapefruit and lime, for the ultimate thirst-quencher!
The Ingredients
- 1 Rio red grapefruit
- 1 lime
- 1½ ounces of tequila
- ¾ ounce of orange liqueur
- ¼ ounce of agave nectar
- Salt
Making Your Cocktail
- Cut your lime in half and rub one half around the edge of your glass before pressing the glass into a shallow bowl of salt to create a salted rim.
- Juice your lime and measure out ¾ ounce of lime juice.
- Cut your grapefruit in half and juice one full half. Measure out 2 ounces of juice.
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and either shake or stir until combined.
- Fill your glass with ice and use a lime wedge or grapefruit wedge for garnish.
- Pour the mixture over ice and enjoy.
Grapefruit and Cranberry Fizz
Time for another citrus juice powerhouse! What can we say, grapefruit cocktails are just better with more fresh fruit juice! This cocktail mixes the taste bud-pleasing flavors of cranberry, lemon, and grapefruit for a truly delicious drink!
The Ingredients
- 1 Rio red grapefruit
- 1 lemon
- 2 ounces of club soda or seltzer water
- 1 ounce of cranberry juice
- 1½ ounces of vodka
- 1½ tablespoons of simple syrup
Making Your Cocktail
- Cut your grapefruit in half and juice, measuring out 1½ ounces of fresh juice.
- Cut your lemon in half and juice, measuring out a ½ ounce of lemon juice. Save one half for garnish.
- Fill a glass half full with ice.
- Pour your vodka, juice, and simple syrup over the ice. Stir.
- Add the seltzer or soda. Stir.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge and enjoy!
Grapefruit Paloma Cocktail
A grapefruit Paloma is one of those classic cocktails that you absolutely have to try at least once. A Paloma is a relative of the margarita, but it uses sparkling water and doesn’t feature the margarita’s characteristic orange liqueur. Whether you’re a fan of other cocktails made with grapefruit or not, we bet you’ll enjoy this tart treat!
The Ingredients
- 1 Rio red grapefruit
- 1 lime
- 2 ounces of tequila
- 2 ounces of sparkling water
- ¼ ounce of simple syrup or agave nectar
- Salt
Making Your Cocktail
- Cut your grapefruit in half and rub one half around the rim of your glass before pressing the glass into a shallow bowl of salt to create the salt rim.
- Juice one grapefruit half, measuring out two ounces of juice and leaving one half aside for garnish.
- Cut your lime in half and juice, measuring out a ½ ounce of juice.
- Combine your ingredients in a glass and stir.
- Top glass with ice and use grapefruit slices for garnish. Enjoy!
