Winter Citrus Salad
What sounds more appetizing than a fresh red grapefruit from Winter Sweetz? Since our fruit is harvested during the winter season, they are especially sweet and delicious.
You can easily throw together a satisfying citrus salad that is a perfect combination of sweet and tart and is packed with your daily dose of vitamin C. Being that it is the cold and flu season, snacking on this citrus salad will help to keep your immune system strong and able to fight against any unwanted infections. This salad will only take you about 15 minutes to prepare and will delight your palette to the extreme.
Start by peeling two tangerines, one large orange and a Winter Sweetz red grapefruit. Divide them individually by segments and place all of your fruit in a medium sized bowl. Next, take a few leaves of fresh mint and slice them into long strips, sprinkling them over your freshly segmented fruits. Finally, take a half a lime and gently squeeze it over your colorful mixture. Lastly, drizzle with honey and lightly mix together all ingredients.
