Keep the Love Going All February Long: Tasty Grapefruit Drinks You’ll Adore
At Winter Sweetz we take sweetening our customers’ lives pretty seriously, one grapefruit at a time. While Valentine’s Day might’ve passed, that doesn’t mean you should stop having a great time with your loved one (and friends and family too).
Our Texas red grapefruits are extra sweet, extra juicy, and extra tasty!
We have looked for the best grapefruit cocktails and have decided these four are bound to be the best options to enjoy during the month of February – and beyond. Consider acquiring a shaker to enjoy the perfect drink.
1. Amarula & Eve
What You’ll Need:
- 1 1/2 ounces Amarula Cream
- 1/2 ounce citrus vodka
- 2 1/2 ounces lychee juice
- 3/4 ounces of Winter Sweetz Texas red grapefruit juice
- Lychee fruit
What To Do:
- Place all the ingredients inside a shaker with ice.
- Shake energetically and then strain into your favorite glass.
- Garnish the drink with a pink lychee fruit on the rim.
2. Ruby Red
What You’ll Need:
- 2 ounces Absolut Ruby Red vodka
- 1/2 ounce Campari
- 3 ounces Winter Sweetz Texas red grapefruit juice
- 2 ounces 7-Up or Sprite
What To Do:
- Pour all the ingredients into a highball glass.
- Garnish with a cherry on top.
3. Love Potion
What You’ll Need:
- 1/3 cup vodka
- 1/4 cup peach schnapps or peach liqueur
- 1 cup Winter Sweetz Texas red grapefruit juice
- Corn syrup
- Sugar
What To Do:
- In two small plates place some sugar and corn syrup separately.
- Place the rim of the cup into the corn syrup and then into the sugar to cover and garnish the rim.
- In a shaker with ice, pour the vodka, grapefruit juice, and schnapps/liqueur and shake until cold. Strain into the garnished cup.
- Add a cherry or halved strawberry if desired.
4. Roll in the Hay
What You’ll Need:
- 4 ounces vodka (or gin)
- 4 ounces pink Winter Sweetz Texas grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1½ ounces elderflower liqueur (St. Germain)
- 4 (4-inch) sprigs of fresh thyme
- Dry rosé champagne (for topping)
What To Do:
- In a shaker with ice, combine the vodka (or gin), Winter Sweetz grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur and two sprigs of thyme.
- Double strain (normal straining with the shaker and then through a metal mesh) into two coup glasses.
- Top the drink with the rosé champagne.
- Finally, garnish each cup with a thyme sprig.
